Thomas J. Murphy

Thomas Murphy is a life-long resident of Orange County, NY and has resided in Newburgh, NY, for the past 33 years.

Tom has been in private practice his entire career. His areas of concentration are residential and commercial real estate, real estate title examination and general ligation. Additionally, Tom handles matter involving estate/probate and represents business clients before various administrative boards.

Tom is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association and is past president of the Greater Newburgh Bar Association.

In 2000 to 2001, Tom served as Acting Corporation Counsel for the City of Newburgh.

In 2011, he served on the City of Newburgh Charter Review Commission, which resulted in a reorganization of the structure of city government.

In 2012, Tom served on the City of Newburgh Redistricting Committee, implementing the changes brought about by the City Charter revisions and amendments
