Richard Schisano
Prior to joining Murphy Schisano & Rosado, Richard Schisano served as the divisional manager of both the Poughkeepsie and White Plains division of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. During his tenure at the court Richard specialized in consumer bankruptcy and assisted with the current loss mitigation procedure as well as both the chapter 13 plan and order.
Prior to his tenure with the court he spent 30 years representing clients in all aspects of consumer bankruptcy, real estate transactions, drafting wills, trusts, and litigating estate matters as a partner in a local law firm. Mr. Schisano received his B.S. in accounting from Fordham University in 1976 and his J.D. degree from Seton Hall Law School in 1979.
He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, officer of the Greater Hudson Valley Bankruptcy Bar Association, past President of the Greater Newburgh Bar Association and has lectured on various bankruptcy topics throughout the State.
